Mission:
The broadest mission of these Conferences is collective pursuit of understanding of the issues surrounding early diagnosis and early treatment of lung cancer. Starting with the Early Lung Cancer Action Program (ELCAP), which evolved into the International (I)-ELCAP, the focus has always been on practicerelevant research. The focus of this conference is on screening research for individuals who have
occupational and environmental exposure to carcinogenic substances and thus are also at risk for developing lung cancer and other diseases associated with such exposure.
